MAY 09 UPDATE
Lucky Boy passed away from cancer. He had a happy life with the Beck family before he died. He had been returned from the home who had adopted him so the Beck's graciously opened up their home and hearts offering to foster Lucky. He died while living with this wonderful foster family.
He ended his life living in a home with LOTS OF LOVE! Now, he is hopefully with Bobbie in heaven, for she too passed away from her cancer.
THANK YOU BECK FAMILY!
Sugar and Honey found a super duper home in Toledo with an amazing family AND WE MEAN AMAZING! They adore the girls and we hope Bobbie is smiling, wherever she is, knowing that Sugar and Honey are being spoiled, just the way two beagle girls should be.
Bubba is still in foster care. Hopefully one day he will find the perfect home, too.

The other day my husband, Terry, was blowing huge piles of leaves that the swirling, shifting Autumn wind had deposited directly outside of our Ohio Room door. Most people call rooms like this their "Florida Room," but we decided that that the name "Florida Room" simply didn't fit this very special room attached to our house here in Ohio.

SARAH is only 5 years old, spade, current on shots, and housebroken! S.P.A. took her in to keep her from being taken to the dog pound. The family she lived with originally lost their home and couldn't take Sarah with them to their new living quarters, so she had to be left behind. UPDATE! Spring and Summer are now named Sean and Sheridan. They are about a year old and reside with a wonderful foster dad named Bill. They are still availble for adoption, but will need to go to somoene who is able to deal with untamed cats. Bill has worked with them, but they were feral when trapped as 16 week old kittens and have still not tamed down completely. I have had personal experience with cats who are semi-feral, and most eventually do tame down.
I recently was approaced by a wild girl kitty named Bindy who we have fostered for three years. All of a sudden, out of the blue she walked up to me and rubbed against my hand. She had a personality very similar to Sean and Sheridan (AKA Spring and Summer).
It seems they reach a point where they decide, "Hey, this human seems to be alright!"

S.P.A. Offering $500 Reward!
All three puppies found fantastic forever homes!
Gordon was adopted by the puppies foster mom and a family from Clyde, Ohio adopted the other two brothers, Guiseppe and Grayson.
All are doing very well!
PHOTO GALLERY UPDATED WITH THE BROTHERS VET VISIT! Click on 'read more' below!
ORIGINAL BRIEF...
Can't look at these photos without smiling. They are going to a wonderful foster home this afternoon! We are currently accepting applications for adoption of Guiseppe, and Grayson. The foster mom has decided to adopt Gordon.
To think someone could have dumped these three special boys beside a country road is disturbing. People like that are void of compassion. People like that frighten me.
S.P.A. is offering a $500 Reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) who dumped these three 12 week old puppies.
Society for the Protection of Animals, Inc. (S.P.A) received a telephone call from a couple who reside on C.R. 50 outside of Helena. They were very concerned and upset because they found three puppies huddled together in the snow up next to their shed.
When they tried to approach the puppies they ran into a neighbor's field. "They were confused and afraid," the man said. CLICK "READ MORE" below!

Jewels was picked up by the dog warden as a stray. She appeared to have recently given birth, but her puppies were not with her when she was picked up. Jewels is a special needs sweetheart.
She seems quite frightened by human beings. There must be a reason for that.
Those who strike out aggressively towards animals have long been recognized as those who are dangerous to other family members.
You know... the mentally distraught, insecure and totally screwed-up people who literally "hurt" the ones they love the most?
Many of these abused, innocent, castaway animals are the toss-aways who end up in kill shelters.
It's the end of the road for them... (and they were never even given a chance)...
These are the ones that are often overlooked by potential adaptors... and sometimes, I think that is a big mistake.
Take Jewels, for instance...
read more >>S.P.A. Volunteers Teach Jewels to Trust Again! UPDATE! JEWEL'S HAPPY ENDING (OR SHOULD WE SAY BEGINNING!)
UPDATE: JEWELS HAS BEEN ADOPTED BY A VERY SPECIAL COUPLE FROM CLYDE, OHIO! She's found the forever love she was hoping for! Jewels is taking dog training classes with Buchele's K-9 Service, LLC, and is earning A+'s at each session. She is thankful that SPA saw her at the pound and recognized the "jewel" that was there in her heart. A real diamond in the rough. She seemed unadoptable because she was unapproachable. She snarled and growled whenever anyone came near to her... but when SPA members looked deeply into Jewel's eyes, they saw the dog they knew she would soon become. Her new family wouldn't take a million dollars for her! IMAGINE THAT! She was appropriately named by the dog pound when she was collected as a stray on from the streets of downtown Fremont, skinny and scavenging for food, after having recently given birth to puppies. Her puppies were not taken to the dog pound with Jewels because their whereabouts were unknown, but it appeared that they were still nursing as indicated from her breasts. S.P.A. IS MAKING A DIFFERENCE... JUST ASK JEWELS!
Jewels was at the pound and hid in the back of her cage. When someone approaced her, she growled and barked.
Jewels has responded well to walks in the park, hugs, and treats. All she needed and wanted was a little love... she is now wagging, giving frequent kisses, and has stopped blinking and pulling away from us when we reach our hand out to pet her.
