The Netting of Life
All life is interconnected in a way we can not yet fully comprehend. An invisible web (netting) of compassion encompasses this world.
The space in-between each sqaure in the net is where most people elect to reside.
The actual strength of the web exists where the connected squares are twisted together. That is where compassion is the strongest... and these crosspoints are what hold everything together.
The force of being pulled and twisted in order to hold everything else together is immense and quite often painful.
Living one's life with compassion isn't easy. Refusing to look the other way... looking beyond what is material and allowing oneself to see the suffering, and feel the pain. And then try, in our small corner of the world, to make a difference.
Do what's right... not what's easiest. Sounds simple enough.
Don't become numb to the suffering. It's there... and ignoring it won't make it go away.
