Tush Wheeley - A Very Special Cat
When a sister of one of the girls called S.P.A. I explained to her that our donations are down and that we are having trouble helping the cats in Fremont let alone cats from North Baltimore. The young lady who called sounded very concerned and emotionally upset. She said, "The only shelters around here who WILL take him are kill shelters, and they will euthanize him without giving him a chance...”
It was refreshing to hear such a deep level of compassion and real empathy in this young woman’s voice. I told the her to take the cat to Tri County Veterinary Clinic for treatment.

Tush has now been vetted and is recovering at a fast pace. Doctor Harvy is smitten with this boy kitty and he sometimes carries Tush Wheely around the clinic with him. They all report that Tush Wheely is exceptionally sweet and turns into a ragdoll when held in your arms.
Once he is groomed and gains a few pound he is going to be a very handsome boy!

S.P.A. is paying for Tush Wheely's boarding as our foster homes are full, and S.P.A. is not able to take in one more cat. I currently care for 51 cats each day in a special 'CAT ROOM' on Terry's and my property that we constructed with our own money. And other S.P.A. members are maxed out with foster cats in their homes, too. We are looking for a loving foster or forever home for Tush!
Yesterday Tush Wheely received a bath and grooming! All grooming expenses were paid for by JODY at TRI COUNTY VETERINARY CLINIC.
THANKS TO JODY FOR PAYING FOR MY SPA TREATMENT! I received a nice warm bath and complete grooming, and man oh man did that feel WONDERFUL! I never had a bath before. Who would have thought I'd ever be fussed over like this! I must really BE somebody important. Sometimes I sit in my kennel at night and wonder how I went from death's door to special treatment like this... I have plenty of food and water, people aren't kicking me out of the bike path, and I am not getting beat up by wild animals. The girls are telling me that one day it might even get better than this... that someone very, very special will take me home with them and I will be able to walk around a WHOLE HOUSE as an inside cat. I close my eyes and drift off to sleep trying to imagine what that might be like... a human of my very own... just imagine....
