Penny was kept at the pound for quite some time because she was such a nice girl. This photo was taken shortly after she arrived at the Sandusky County Dog Pound.

Penny is a very friendly, intelligent, spaniel mix who gave birth to five puppies on June 19th. One of the puppies didn't make it, but the other four are healthy, adorable sweethearts! Penny's foster mom said she has been an excellent mother, carefully tending to her pups from the moment they were born. But the puppies are weaned now and ready to be adopted by loving families of their own.

BIG HOSS is the largest of the litter. He's curious and the most independant.

BIG HOSS was the first born and is the largest of the litter, so his name fits.

BIG HOSS is so darned adorable!

Big Hoss is curious about everything and being the first born he seems to be the most independent of the litter. He has a Pointer mix appearance, although he was born with a cute fish hook shape at the end of his long, white-tipped tail. When Big Hoss sees his foster mom or dad he comes running to greet them and give oodles of puppy lovin'! He may be a good candidate for an active family as he gets older and he's probably excel at Frisbee catching or he might be a great jogging partner.

DOMINIC is the calm, laid-back puppy of the litter. He has the most unique markings and is a total love bug.

Dominic is beautifully marked!

Dominic enjoys playing with his litter mates but prefers the company of his human foster family even more. He'd probably be a great family dog, and because of his desire to connect with humans even more than his puppy siblings, might be a good candidate for therapy dog training. Dominic was born with a shorter tail, just like his mama's.

HANNAH is a sweet, friendly little girl who loves attention from her foster family and loves her brother Big Hoss (they look a lot alike).

Hannah has a full tail which she wags continuously!

Hannah plays and runs with her litter mates and then likes lying down for a nap. She is beginning to carry her puppies toys around with her in her mouth, inviting her siblings to play with her. She is the puppy reflecting the most Pointer mix characteristics with a long straight tail with a white tip.

AMELIA - A picture is worth a thousand words! Amelia has the smallest body, but is big in the personality department!

AMELIA is a loving, playful girl who is the smallest of the litter, but she is one tough girl when it's play time.

Amelia has a cute little puppy bark that she uses to boss around her sister Hannah. She is always ready to give out her sweet puppy kisses and it is obvious that she wants to be a lap dog when she grows up! She was born with a shorter cropped tail and is beautifully marked. Amelia was also born with a naturally docked tail.
